Unlike standard incandescent light bulbs, fluorescent circline bulbs always require a electric ballast to regulate the flow of energy through the bulbs. However, circular fluorescent lights utilizes the electrical power into useful visible light more efficiently than an standard incandescent lamp; lower utility bills make T9 much less expensive over its life than incandescent bulbs. While circline light bulbs have been mostly used in large multi-family buildings and hotels, the circular fluorescent light bulb is now being used as in general areas in the home such as laundry rooms. Circline's are a round fluorescent light that is usually put into place by "spring clips" with in the T9 Light. Circline lamps use less energy for the same amount of light output, generally last longer (12,000hrs). Fluorescent circline bulbs are identified by size of the lamp. FC8T9 (8.25"), FC12T9 (12") and FC16T9 (16"). Circline lightbulbs provide consistent, even light appearance in all fixtures. Circular fluorescent light bulbs can only operate with a ballast.

Important Return Policy News: Beginning March 2008, we initiated a change to our return policy. ExpressLightBulbs.com will accept merchandise returns for Standard Delivery items within 30 days of purchase and issue a credit or refund at the time of return only with a valid packing slip.
We appreciate your understanding that ExpressLightBulbs.com merchandise may only be returned by mail or ground service (UPS or Fed Ex). Upon return, your merchandise will be inspected. Credits or refunds issued will be for the item value. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with state laws. Shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable.
To return an item by mail, follow the instructions on the packing slip enclosed in your order, insure the package, and mail it to the ExpressLightBulbs.com address on your packing slip. If you do not have a packing slip, please call us at 888.553.5655 and we will gladly assist you.
