When I went looking  for some outdoor fixtures on a drive, I saw everything from low voltage  path lights, to hps flood lighting. I also found plenty of energy efficient outdoor LED lamps. There are several types of eco friendly light bulbs:

compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL)
light emitting diode (LED)
 halogen  light bulb (the least talked about)

All of these lights  will save energy and, in the long run, save you money.
