After years of being an avid gardener, I had always wanted to start my own seeds indoors. I was tired of paying the high prices for my flowers and my vegetables every summer. I had to constantly get to the local nursery before Mother’s Day weekend in order to get the plants that were in good condition. It always seemed that after that weekend had come, the flower and vegetable plants that were left over were in poor health. Then I had to keep the plants indoors for several weeks anyways, until the danger of frost had passed in my area. I had grown tired of this annual routine and was serious about setting up my own indoor nursery this year.

I had a perfect space in my garage for this purpose. My garage was also heated so I did not have to worry about regulating the temperature in there. My only concern was the lighting. I had heard that there was new technology in growing led lights and I wanted to see if there were models that were designed for smaller, at home use. After being unsuccessful in locating any of these lights at local retailers, I turned to the internet. I was very pleased by the results. There were a number of online growing led light retailers available. After comparing a few websites I settled on a company that had built a good reputation with many nursery and greenhouse owners and amongst home gardeners.

I browsed through the various growing led light that they had available. These lights were very affordable and I was surprised at how energy efficient they really were. I would barely even notice the difference in my electric bill. I was also incredibly surprised by how long these bulbs actually lasted. 50,000 hours of light would last me through several seasons. I found the perfect size model to set up in my garage and placed the order. I was very excited to get my personal home nursery up and running.

I went out and purchased seeds for the plants and vegetables that I had wanted to start. I had always wanted to try different varieties of vegetables that weren’t available in my local nursery. I could not wait to start my heirloom tomatoes and chili peppers. When the light arrived it was easy to set up and I was ready to go. Now I can look forward to planting my own plants in my garden.
