Improving your garden efficiently with Grow LED Lights

After owning and operating my own nursery for over thirty years I had become pretty narrow minded in the way that I ran my business. I figured that I had been in business for a long enough time to know that when something is going well not to alter it. My nursery was very successful and I enjoyed the relationships that I had established with a steady stream of customers. I also had several landscaping services that had been relying upon my nursery to supply them with the plants for all of their commercial and residential jobs.

Several members of my family helped me to run my nursery. My daughter had become very interested in preserving our environment and started to make little changes inside the nursery in order to become more environmentally friendly. While I didn’t mind having the paper towels in the bathroom being switched to automatic hand dryers, I was caught off guard when she told me that we needed to have all of the plant lighting in our nursery switched to grow led lights.

I had been using metal halide grow lights for as long as I could remember. Although I have to admit that replacing the bulbs constantly was a bit of a pain, these lights had been successful in their purpose for a long time and I wasn’t very enthusiastic about changing the way that I grew my plants. I was also worried about the cost of replacing my existing lighting system and how long the entire process would take.

My lovely daughter grew more and more insistent that I convert to grow led lighting for my plants. She left advertising material on my desk and continued to hound me about the subject. Finally I decided to look at some of the literature she had left me about the grow led lights. I have to admit that I did not know that they were 80% more energy efficient than the lights that I was currently using and that the bulbs lasted for so long. This modern technology was impressive, but I wanted to make sure that they could perform the job that I needed for them to do as well as my metal halide lights.

I called up the manufacturer and asked them several questions. I was satisfied with the answers and the prices that we negotiated so I decided to make the switch. My daughter is very happy to announce that we use environmentally friendly grow lighting and I am happy when I open my electric bill every month.
