There are several types of eco friendly light bulbs:

compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL)
light emitting diode (LED)
 halogen  light bulb (the least talked about)

All of these lights  will save energy and, in the long run, save you money.

These lights are still used in many places today, although many have been updated too much more energy efficient and more attractive versions. I wanted to justify my $80.00 (gulp)  a month coffee habit to my wife and had to do some quick math on what I spend each month.
