Metal Halide Grow Bulbs have an exemplary spectral distribution that emulates sunlight in the visible spectrum that
will make the plant thrive and grow. Most indoor gardeners recommend
MH grow lights above all others.
High Pressure Sodium Grow Bulbs stimulate flower and fruit production in plants which Metal Halide can not.
HPS grow lights are very high in the orange and red
regions of the light spectrum. Plants grown on HPS alone can become elongated and leggy. It is always recommended to use them in conjunction
with Metal Halides.
LED Grow Bulbs are an outstanding alternative to other growing options. When using LED Plant Lights the leaves are thicker and a more healthy shade of green but vegetative growth tends to be 20% slower compared to a 400 watt HPS but the plants is usually healthier and the flowers and fruit are more realistic in color.
T5 Fluorescent Grow Bulbs emit very little heat which lets you position the fluorescent grow light closer to your plants to
raise the growth light levels. T5 grow systems are great where heat might cause a concern.
CFL Grow Bulbs are perfect for seedlings, cuttings and small plants.
CFL Grow Lights are suited for small areas as they do not produce much heat or use much electricity. They are the least expensive grow
system. Plants taller than a foot, multiple lights can be used to supplement the sides of the plants.
